Why Sourdough?
🌾 Real Ingredients. Nothing Extra.
Our sourdough is made with:
*Organic flour
*Filtered water
*Sea salt
*A naturally cultivated sourdough starter
That’s it.
No preservatives. No commercial yeast. No additives.
Just traditional bread the way it was meant to be.
⸻
🕰️ Naturally Fermented = Easier to Digest
Sourdough rises slowly through a natural fermentation process.
This long fermentation:
*Breaks down gluten proteins
*Reduces phytic acid (which can block mineral absorption)
*Makes nutrients more available to your body
*Is often easier on digestion than conventional bread
Many people who struggle with store-bought bread and gluten intolerance find sourdough feels completely different.
⸻
đź’› Supports Gut Health
The fermentation process encourages beneficial bacteria to develop before baking.
While baking removes live cultures, the byproducts of fermentation:
*Help support a balanced gut environment
*May reduce bloating compared to commercial yeast breads
*Create a more stable blood sugar response
Real bread. Real nourishment.
⸻
🌿 Organic & Whole Wheat Options
We use organic flour because what goes into your bread matters.
Our artisan loaves with 100% whole wheat provide:
*Higher fiber
*More vitamins and minerals
*Sustained energy
*A rich, hearty flavor
It’s bread that fuels you — not just fills you.
⸻
đź©· Better Flavor. Better Texture.
Slow fermentation develops:
*A naturally tangy, complex flavor
*A chewy interior
*A beautifully crisp crust
*A longer shelf life without preservatives
This isn’t grocery store bread. This is artisan sourdough made with care.
⸻
🏡 Made in Small Batches
Each loaf is handcrafted in small batches, never mass-produced.
That means:
*Careful fermentation timing
*Proper proofing
*Intentional shaping
*Consistent quality

Saralyn Markowski
Owner & Head Baker
Hi, I’m Saralyn ~ the heart behind Cozy Delights.
I’ve been health-conscious for as long as I can remember. I’ve always cared deeply about what goes into my body. I have always chosen whole foods, read labels, and believed that nourishment matters. Wellness wasn’t a trend for me. It was simply my lifestyle.
And yet, despite doing “all the right things,” I still developed an autoimmune condition.
That season of my life changed everything.
It forced me to slow down and to listen to my body more carefully. It also caused me to rethink not just what I was eating — but how it was made.
I began leaning even deeper into natural, whole foods. Fewer ingredients. Slower processes. Traditional preparation methods. Foods that support the body instead of stressing it.
That’s where sourdough came in.
True sourdough — naturally fermented, made with organic flour, water, and salt — felt different. It was simpler, easier on my digestion, more nourishing and more intentional.
At 40, I can honestly say I feel healthier and stronger than ever — not because I chased perfection, but because I embraced whole, real food prepared the way it was meant to be.
Cozy Delights was born from that journey.
This isn’t just bread to me. It’s nourishment. It’s comfort. It’s proof that simple ingredients, handled with care, can support a vibrant life.
Every loaf I bake reflects what I believe: ~Food should be real. ~Ingredients should matter. ~And feeling good should NEVER be complicated.
Thank you for being here and supporting small-batch, intentionally made sourdough. It truly means more than you know ✨
